Matthew turns 11!

Today is Matthew's 11th Birthday!

I can't believe how big he is now--doesn't seem so long ago that he was 5.

We've been stretching out his celebrations-

last week he had a friends party and played laser tag;

today he gets to pick dinner and we'll go to Maggie Moo's for dessert;

tomorrow, when he dad gets back, we'll go to dinner and a movie.

Last night we went to middle school orientation.

The principal talked about how kids start pulling away, 

friends become more important, and how middle-schoolers want their independence.  

I think we're in for some big changes with Matt this year and we're excited to see all the great things he'll do!
