Valentine's Day

It's easy to love Valentine's Day when you have a Valentine...

It's been 14 years since our first date.  

I'm just glad it all worked out, or this day might not have such good memories attached.

We celebrated early with a week in Hawaii, which I'll have to write about later.

It's hard to come back to reality and it's taking me awhile to get back to it all.

I also have to say that it's even more fun to celebrate with my little Valentines...

I get to help out in Matt's class party today.  

I think he's excited even though he's playing it cool.  

I am excited to be there with him for his last Valentine's class party.

Next year he'll head to middle school, which means no more class parties.

We all had chocolate chip pancakes with cherries and whipped cream, 

opened Valentine's surprises and then Dad drove them to school today.  

It's already been a love-filled day!

We have started a new Valentine's Tradition:

Fondue!

The kids love to dip their goodies into the melted chocolate

It's fun and special for the kids as well as easy Mom!

My Valentine

Today is the 12th anniversary of our first date.

He didn't realize he was asking me out on "Valentine's Day" and I was just hoping the date would be a good one so it wouldn't spoil the day forever for me--As it turned out, it was a great date and it's just continued through the years. I'm lucky to have Paul as my valentine for the rest of eternity.

Honestly, there's no one else I'd rather have by my side on the journey...
