It's Cousin Garrett's 1st Birthday!

It was so fun to have him here and visit over the weekend!

He moves a lot more than Nora--he's almost walking

(Nora has yet to make it to a real crawl)

The kids loved playing with him and Garrett loved the entertainment.

They would make him chase them by taking his "wooby" and running with it!

He would laugh and crawl after them, catch them, and then do it again!

New Niece

Happy Belated Birthday Jacob!

It was Jacob's 5th Birthday on August 15th! We were actually up visiting Jake and his family, so I didn't get to posting his birthday! We hope you have a great year--it was fun to see you last week! We will put up some pictures of all the cousins when I get them uploaded later!

Baby Josh

Today is Josh's 2-month birthday! We got to cuddle him when we were in Utah--Halle loves to touch him--she calls him "Baby Josh." I love this newborn stage--he's so sweet and precious. It's hard for me to remember when my own kids were this little, so I'm glad we have this new nephew to love on! We're sad that we won't see him again until Christmas when he will be so big!

Speaking of mothers...

Some EXCITING news! Our sister Sarah just found her baby! A birthmom has placed a little boy with them TODAY! My emotions are overflowing as I know how much she has wanted this blessing and how patient she and Andrew have been in waiting for the child who was meant to be with them! So they are now parents and we are all so excited to meet this new nephew!

Early Christmas Present

Our nephew Jeffrey, son of Ryan & Ruth Ann, arrived on Saturday, December 22. Congratulations to the whole family! We're sure Jacob and Grace are thrilled with their new little brother.

Happy Birthday to Rylee who turned one on April 20th! She had a big celebration on Saturday with games, cake and a pinata!

Christmas

We are finally getting back to normal--we had a wonderful Christmas back in Utah and wanted to share some pictures from Christmas morning! The kids loved the whole experience--Paul even heard them whispering to each other early Christmas--"did you hear Santa?" "I heard sleigh bells." "Someone was creaking around upstairs last night!" We have many great memories from the season!

Chatting with Santa

At the ward Christmas party last night, Matt & Afton got to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what they wanted for Christmas. Although they are very good at letting me know what's on their list, they were a little more reticent with the big guy himself. Good thing Mom knows how to let Santa know what they want!

Gingerbread House

Some families got together for FHE last night to celebrate the season. We told stories, sang carols and decorated gingerbread houses. This is first ever Walker family gingerbread house--we are very proud of our efforts. The kids loved being with their friends to get ready for the Christmas holiday!

Kelsey and Rylee Visit

Afton had such a fun time playing with cousin Rylee. Kelsey and I took the kids downtown to Navy Pier for the architecture tour. We had some bad weather, but were able to take a later boat and have a fun time seeing Chicago from the river.
