that's what the e-mail from Paul said.
And he means it too.
We are hosting his office Christmas party again this year.
And I'm a little stuck.
Last year we did the ham, rolls, sides, cheesecake traditional sit-down meal.
It was hard to fit 32 people around tables in our house.
And this year it's looking like it will be about 40 people.
So, I'm wanting to do something a little more portable.
Some kind of easy buffet that people can either walk with or sit and eat without a table.
And I'm going to need some help
Ideas, recipes, suggestions on a yummy, easy buffet spread?!
Something on the creative side?
(And just so you know, I like it when people leave thinking I'm awesome!)

Maybe you should have it catered by Jimmy Johns :)
catered would be nice. But I think you can pull this off! thinking cap on, buckled up -
I think you should do a taco bar...it's easy to eat without utensils...
Was it for Jill's bday that Susan did the "mashed potato" potato bar. So easy to wander around with potatoes in a cup. And I know Susan has all the cups you can borrow too. I can't remember what else she served, but I left thinking she was fabulous :-).
I like Michelle's idea. Dale's office party had the mashed potato bar (served in a goblet glass). They also served prime rib, salad, various breads, fruits, desserts, etc. For the mashed potato bar you just have things like cheese, bacon, sour cream, chives, etc, etc and let the people make their own mashed potato "sundae". It was the first thing gone at the party. Good luck! I'm glad I don't have to put something like that on. Dale's office just rents out a fancy restaurant for one night and they take care of it all. You are one awesome wife!
Chad--I have not eaten at Jimmy John's since the "incident" and I have not had a desire to either! I love the baked potato bar, but Paul's boss did it a couple years ago. We are thinking maybe soup, cornbread, rolls, etc when we add in appetizers, salad and desserts, that's a lot of food! If there are some awesome crockpot soups out there, let me know!
I've been thinking about his one for a while. I think you should make those awesome rolls you made last year for thanksgiving. Maybe Lionhouse? And this soup is amazing:

Then maybe find the best pie or cupcake or some sort of dessert in Chicago? I am sure Oprah can help you with that one...
Just a few thoughts. Good luck and let us now how it turns out!
