9 Years Old!

Matthew turns 9 today!

I can't believe another year has gone by

He is such a fun kid and he's a great buddy to hang out with

A month ago I asked what he wanted to do for his birthday--

a party, bowling, miniature golf, a party play gym with friends?

Matt looked at me and said,

"I want to go to a baseball game--just me and Dad"

So tonight it's boys' night at the Cubs game!

He had his favorite roll-up pancakes for breakfast,

and I took donuts to his class for fun.

I think it's already a great day for him!

As the only boy around here, and the oldest kid,

Matthew fills a very special spot in the family--

We love his sense of humor, his responsible behavior, and his good heart!
