I didn't know if we really needed to see this movie since we've been inundated with penguins lately, and I wasn't all that impressed with Happy Feet. But, the kids and I went on Saturday and I'm here to say this is a really cute, fun movie with a good lesson in it! It's a mockumentary-type film with the narration by the characters, so it has a different feel to it. We also love that it has a surfing chicken who learned to surf on Lake Michigan. (the voice is by Jon Heder aka Napoleon Dynamite) There are lots of funny parts which had Matt almost falling off his seat! If you haven't seen this yet, it's still in theatres, but has been pushed out a little by Ratatouille--which, by the way, we also think is good!

I have had a problem with animated penguins lately, too, and I haven't even seen any penguin movies!!! It's just when they make the girl penguins look like they have breasts...BIRDS DO NOT HAVE BREASTS BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT MAMMALS, THEY'RE BIRDS!!! It's a pet peeve...
I have heard this is good from several people and now I am thinking we will go even though I was resisting the penguins at first.
