Matt is 8!

It's been so much fun watching Matt grow up!  

We can't believe he's already 8 years old!

Poetry Coffeehouse

Matthew's class has been doing a poetry unit.

To showcase their work, we were all invited to their coffee-house reading.

The kids dressed up and read their poems

to the beat of some jazzy music.

Matt was really funny--We got to his class and everyone was 

wearing black and had their berets on.

He hadn't told me that they were supposed to 

dress in dark colors--he remembered and did it on his own!

He was so excited that the whole family came to hear his poetry...

One Month

Nora is now one month old...

She's up to a whopping 9 pounds

And she's tired of me taking pictures of her--

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend.

The kids love to decorate eggs, and we only had a couple broken!

The egg hunt was a success!  

I love dressing my kids in their Sunday Easter best!

We had stake conference, so while Paul wrestled these three at the church,

I got to stay home and relax with Nora--she likes to nap when I'm taking pictures--

I am always grateful for the opportunity to pause our lives and reflect on the life of our Savior.

Because of Him, we are able to enjoy so much beauty and love in our lives

and also to know that these children will be with us for eternity.

We hope your Easter was filled with hope, happiness and love as well!

Soccer Season Starts!

Spring Soccer has begun...

Afton's team decided to be the Red Hots!  

Notice that Matt's team is the same color?

They named themselves the Flames.

It was a cold start to the season, but the kids had a lot of fun!

Post-Edit--Paul informed me that Afton's team is really the red HEARTS!

Nana and Nora!

Paul's mom, aka Nana, came out for a week to visit (help me)!

She always makes these cute hooded towels for the kids--

Thanks Nana for playing with the kids, cleaning, organizing and 

keeping me sane for one more week. 

 It's going to be rough going here on out

I'm actually going to have to do this mom thing all on my own!

You might want to toss up a few prayers in my (and my children's) behalf!

We are so lucky to have family who are willing and able to come out and help!

And boy do I need it...this fourth child has made me realize more than ever that I am not a supermom!

Thanks to my mom and my sister Heather for coming out to help.  

We also get Paul's mom tonight to help out.

I don't know what I'm going to do after that...you might say a little prayer for me next week when Nana leaves!
