Sisters

Aren't they cute when they're getting along?
I so look forward to watching my girls--all three of them--grow up together.
They will have their share of fights and disagreements,
but there is nothing better than a sister who's also your best friend.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Happy Birthday today to Grandma!  Don't you love this picture--Halle took it and Grandma was kind enough to get down to Halle's level!  We are so excited to see Grandma in 2 weeks when she comes to take care of us and the new baby!  We love you Grandma!

I Double Dare You (only if you want to play)

My mother-in-law and sister-in-law both posted this challenge and since I wanted something from them, I guess I'll have to offer it to someone else as well!

I think perhaps 5 people read this blog, occasionally. I double dare you to accept this challenge. This game involves a few of my favorite things: handmade goods, creativity, and gift-giving. Here are the tagging instructions: The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done this year. (might be a little while)
4- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry or an article on properly cleaning your face before a masque. I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!

Day 100

Today is the 100th day of school and they go all out to celebrate!  Matthew was assigned to come to school with 100 of something on his shirt.  What better than 100 Legos to express his personality!  I thought this would be an easy project, so I started last night at 8:30.  I didn't finish until 11:30--we sure could have used some of Grandma Bunting's sewing skills, but I did the best I could!  Matthew was excited when he saw it, though, and that made it worth the late night!

Happy Birthday Pat!

Happy Birthday last Sunday to Pat--we are sorry we don't have a picture!  It has been a year and a half since we've actually seen Pat in person--We were last in Washington in Summer 2007, so we obviously need to be making plans to get up there after our little one arrives!  We hope you had a great day Pat and a terrific year ahead!

Our Funny Girl!

It didn't seem possible, but the older she gets, the bigger her personality gets.  She's growing up so quickly and I wanted to share some of the funny, cute, and irresistible things Halle does!
--She was looking at our Disneyworld pictures and didn't like how close Matt was sitting next to her in one of them.  She kept trying to pick him out with her fingers and move him away from her.
--She now has to have her hair done every day, but she only likes it one of two ways--in pigtails or wearing the brown sparkly headband shown in the picture above.
--She sings "I am a Child of God" and "Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam" all by herself
--Without any teaching on my part, she has learned all her ABCs, counting 1-10, and her shapes.  A little voice just pipes out of the backseat--Mommy, there's a triangle--I must give Dora the Explorer credit.
--The daughter I thought would not be into princess and dress-ups now adores all things girly, including my make-up.
--She refuses to wear a coat in the car.  I have to put it next to her and force her to wear it on trips from the car into the store.  She will not allow me to zip it up.  We are living in below freezing weather right now, but apparently Halle doesn't care!

Every day she follows me around with a play-by-play of what's going on.  She has an adorable little voice and a funny sense of humor.  We love her so much and all that she's added to our family!
