Our Day Off

Since Matt didn't have school and Paul didn't have to work, we decided to go to Matt's favorite museum, the Museum of Science and Industry. Little did we know that it was a free day and therefore attractive to about half of Chicago! We still had a lot of fun and Matt could spend hours watching "The Great Train Story" a model of the railroad story from Chicago to Seattle. It was also our first "outing" as a family since Halle was born. She did quite well and we decided that we'll take her out again!

Miss Halle

Miss Halle amazed all the nurses at her 4-month check-up. She has grown 3 1/2 inches and gained 4 1/2 pounds in two months. She was at the 90th percentile and has now shot off the charts. The great thing about Halle, though, is her ready smile and happy disposition. As soon as she makes eye contact, she lights up! The nurses loved making her smile and laugh and none of them wanted to be the one to give her her immunizations and make her cry.

Valentine's Day

The kids love Valentine's Day--mostly for the getting than for the giving, but that could be inherited from their mom! They both had parties at school, plus Mom and Dad had a special Valentine waiting for them that morning!

Go Bears!

So you can all sing it on Sunday, here's the Chicago Bears Fight Song!
Bear Down, Chicago Bears, make every play clear the way to victory!
Bear Down, Chicago Bears, put up a fight with a might so fearlessly!
We'll never forget the way you thrilled the nation with your T-formation!
Bear Down, Chicago Bears, and let them know why you're wearing the crown!
You're the pride and joy of Illinois. Chicago Bears, Bear Down!
Go Bears!
