Matt's Birthday Report

Matt had a great day--he got a bike, clothes (not so cool to open, but good for the summer!), cars from Afton, plus money to spend on legos and other toys. He picked pizza for lunch before he headed to Raceline Motorworks for his race car activities. Matt chose roll-up pancakes for dinner, with some help from his dad, and then had friends over for cake and ice cream. Many family members also called and e-mailed to wish Matt a happy day! We went to bed happy and tired!

Raceline Motorworks

Matt had so much fun choosing, building, and racing his new Hummer remote control car--he even got a driver's license which he informs us allows him to use his RC car but Afton can only watch since she doesn't have a license!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATTHEW!

April 26th! Today is Matt's 6th Birthday and we are so amazed at all he as added to our family the past years--how they have flown! We sure love our guy! For those far away, this is Matt at 6--awesome at math, enjoys soccer and scoring goals, loves his little sisters (Halle more than Afton right now), is great at sharing, can't wait to get outside and swing his golf clubs--and lose more balls out the back fence, spends hours building with his legos, can name every truck, car, or construction vehicle out there, looks forward to seeing his grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, and cousins this summer, is a great helper for Mom, so excited to go to school all day next year, convinced he doesn't need water wings to swim (oh my!), loves to play with his friends, likes to have inside jokes with Mom, favorite food is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, favorite colors are orange, green and blue, loved by everyone around him! Happy Day to Matt and Happy Year ahead! We'll post more pictures from his big day tomorrow!

Matt's First Game

Matt's first soccer game was on Saturday and he did awesome! He played the entire game (for those of you who don't know, he wouldn't play in the games last season) and even scored a goal! We are proud of him. We're also proud of Paul who took both girls and Matt on his own and even snapped these pictures from his camera!

Happy Birthday Aunt Jordan!

Happy Birthday to Jordan on April 21. She's spending her birthday in Mexico so we also say Feliz Cumpleanos! Have a great year!

Happy 1st Birthday to Rylee!

Happy Birthday to Rylee who turned one on April 20th! She had a big celebration on Saturday with games, cake and a pinata!

Halle's 6 Month Birthday!

The time has gone by so quickly! Halle is already 6 months old. She is such a happy, charming baby--it takes me twice as much time to run errands with her because we are always getting stopped so she can smile at everyone! She sleeps 11-12 hours at night (YEAH!) and has such a cheerful, loving personality. She is a joy to have in the family. Right now she has become very interested in her toys and loves to play and interact with us!

Happy Easter!

I love having my kids dressed up for church--they are so adorable! (I'm obviously biased) They even let me take pictures of them in their Easter clothes. Actually, I couldn't get Afton to stop posing, although Matt and Halle were done after a couple shots!

Dyeing Eggs

Matt and Afton love dyeing eggs for the Easter Bunny. Matt usually likes all the colors while Afton's favorites are pink and purple. It's hard to get them to stop, so many of our eggs are mud colored by the time we're done! It was fun having Aunt Heather here to celebrate Easter with us!

The Masters

For those of you who would like an expert opinion of the Masters Tournament, you will have to call Paul and he will expound on the great time we had at Augusta. I get to write down the impressions from a female point of view: Augusta is the only place where the men's line for the restrooms is longer than the women's, where men are waiting in line to shop and then grab as much as they possibly can, and there are no cell phones to be found among 40,000 people! There are also no cameras allowed, so a picture of my badge is all I can provide.
